Emily and Stéphane’s Central Park Pictures and City Hall Wedding
Emily and Stéphane decided to get married in New York before moving to France, and they wanted to have a low-key wedding at city hall. I shot some engagement pictures with them in January, and then their wedding at City Hall this last Friday. Emily came up with the idea of shooting at the Met. I love it when a couple comes to me and has creative ideas and wants to collaborate on making the image. We met up and did some scouting at The Met, and also decided that it would be a good idea to get some pictures in Central Park while we were at it. When it came time to shoot, the weather was so gorgeous in Central Park that we ended up doing most of the shoot there! Since they’re moving to France, I was really excited to get some pictures that will remind them of their time here, and I’m loving the color pallette we got from the winter light and all the warm tones in the park this time of year.

Fast forward a couple weeks, and we’re at city hall for their wedding. Emily’s closest family members came to town to be a part of it, and I met up with them at City Hall while Emily and Stéphane were getting their paperwork in order.
Emily and Stéphane arrive.

The waiting room.

I’ve shot a couple other city hall ceremonies. This was by far the quickest one. The officiant gets things rolling.

Of course we had to get in on the city hall photo op.

And then they jumped on the train to head back home.
