Emily and Stéphane’s Central Park Pictures and City Hall Wedding

Emily and Stéphane decided to get married in New York before moving to France, and they wanted to have a low-key wedding at city hall. I shot some engagement pictures with them in January, and then their wedding at City Hall this last Friday. Emily came up with the idea of shooting at the Met. I love it when a couple comes to me and has creative ideas and wants to collaborate on making the image. We met up and did some scouting at The Met, and also decided that it would be a good idea to get some pictures in Central Park while we were at it. When it came time to shoot, the weather was so gorgeous in Central Park that we ended up doing most of the shoot there! Since they’re moving to France, I was really excited to get some pictures that will remind them of their time here, and I’m loving the color pallette we got from the winter light and all the warm tones in the park this time of year.

Fast forward a couple weeks, and we’re at city hall for their wedding. Emily’s closest family members came to town to be a part of it, and I met up with them at City Hall while Emily and Stéphane were getting their paperwork in order.city_hall_wedding_001.jpg

I’ve shot a couple other city hall ceremonies. This was by far the quickest one. The officiant gets things rolling.city_hall_wedding_007.jpg city_hall_wedding_008.jpg city_hall_wedding_010.jpg city_hall_wedding_011.jpg city_hall_wedding_012.jpg city_hall_wedding_013.jpg

Of course we had to get in on the city hall photo op.city_hall_wedding_015.jpg city_hall_wedding_014.jpg

And then they jumped on the train to head back home.

Sarah’s Danish Holiday Party

My friend Sarah is moving from Brooklyn to Copenhagen. I’ll miss her. We’ll all miss her. For her going away party I set up a photobooth, and seeing as Sarah’s a brilliant crafty kind of person, she made some props so we could all get into the Danish spirit.

Marcus and Kristin YouTube

I just got an email from Marcus of Marcus and Kristin. And I was really excited to see the video that he put together from his wedding at Queens Country Farm earlier this year.

He used a ton of pictures that I shot, mixed in with video. It always makes me happy to see a couple doing fun things with their pictures and getting the most out of them, and I love what he did with the music and the editing. For those of you looking to get a better idea of how I shoot, it’s also worth a look as you can really see how the day unfolded and a broader take of lots of pictures from the day.

Check out the video here.
