Kim and Walter

Friday, October 24th, 2008

I just shot Kim and Walter’s wedding. My last wedding of the year. Wow, it’s crazy how fast this summer went. I won’t be hibernating for the winter though.. I’m working with my web people to update the look of this blog, doing some more editorial shooting, and I’ve got some projects that I’ve been developing in the last few months that I’m getting ready to jump into. And I’m keeping busy meeting with couples planning their 2009 weddings.

Anyways… back to Kim and Walter. They got married at the D&D building in midtown at the Astra. They were really about throwing a great party for all their friends, and there where a ton of fun characters at the wedding.

One of the other vendors who really stood out at this wedding was Tracey, of Polka Dot Events, who was awesome to work with, and really kept everything going smoothly.

Jeff + Jennifer

Friday, October 17th, 2008

Jeff and Jennifer were a ton of fun! I had a great time shooting engagement pictures with them earlier this year, so I knew that it was going to be blast. It was my first time shooting at Ramscale. It’s a great loft space in the West Village overlooking Julian Schnabel’s giant pink villa :). One cool thing about the space is that they have a huge library of artwork, and Jeff and Jennifer got to choose what they wanted on the walls for the wedding. The light is great, and I couldn’t have asked for a more laid back, fun crowd.

Sue, from Marcy Brownstein catered the event, and did an amazing job. She was really on top of all the details. Jami Fiasconaro did a great job with the girls makeup.

Everyone was getting ready down the street from Ramscale at the Embassy suites hotel.

At the entrance they had framed pictures from the weddings of Jeff and Jennifer’s parents and grandparents. Made me think… One day maybe one of my pictures from the day is going to be in this lineup at a wedding reception.

Jeff’s in a band, and they played one of his singles. Justin Finnegan was the DJ, and he did a great job and kept everyone moving all night.

Rich + Jennie

Friday, October 3rd, 2008

Here’s some favorites from Rich and Jennie’s wedding recently. They chartered a yacht and sailed from the 79th street boat basin, first up north under the George Washington bridge and through the Palisades, and then downtown and to the Statue of Liberty. It was amazing weather, great light and a really fun crowd.
