Some other photo projects

As a lot of you know, weddings isn’t the only thing that I shoot. Lately I’ve been doing shooting a lot of magazine work. Some of my favorite recent jobs have been for Dance magazine, the Italian Colors Magazine, and Edible Manhattan .

Also, for about 6 months I’ve been working on a more personal project. For those who know me, you know that I pretty much take a camera with me everywhere I go. Over the years I’ve ended up shooting a lot of “personal work”. I see it as perhaps being a book project somewhere down the line, but in the meantime, I’ve been eager to share with people what I’m working on.

So I’ve been throwing up some of my favorites, over at jacobpritchard.net/journals. Here’s a screenshot:

One unique thing about the project is that whenever I post a new images, whoever sends me an e-mail right away gets a free print of that image mailed to them. It’s a no-strings-attached deal. I really just like the idea that my pictures are going out in the world and people are able to enjoy them in a non-digital format. A few bloggers in the photo world have written about it, and it’s a lot of fun to be getting e-mails and sending my prints all over the world. So if you have a second, head over there and check it out, and maybe you’ll be getting the next free print!

To put it simply, I believe that the day of a wedding is full of great emotion and energy, and my aim is to capture it. I pride myself on my ability to blend in and capture images that tell the story of your day in a unique yet timeless way. I'm based in New York City, and while many of the weddings that I shoot are nearby, I frequently shoot weddings across the US and around the world.
