Edible Manhattan

Friday, January 30th, 2009

I just got a chance to grab a copy of the newest Edible Manhattan and see my pictures from a story I shot for them last year.

The article is about Aaron Isaacson, AKA “Mr Recipe”. He’s got one of the coolest jobs in the world. He sells high end vanilla beans and spices. A lot of his work consists of traveling around the world to find sources. Then he gets to make visits to tons of amazing restaurants to share his latest finds with his clients. I kind of felt like I was spending the day with a high end drug dealer. He’s got all these little containers and bags of super valuable spices, and he went all around the city sharing his latest acquisitions with chefs.

Here’s a couple quick scans from the magazine. The editor just sent me over the layouts to share with you guys.

The cover (though it wasn’t my shot)
