I just found out that Laura, one of my awesome brides from last year just blogged about the wedding over at her site at Wren Handmade. She and Ben had an amazing wedding in Prospect Park last year, and I’ve had the pictures all buttoned up on my hard drive until they published the story in Martha Stewart weddings. I’m excited to share some more pictures here on the blog, but here’s a few quick picks of my favorites.
Sarah and Mike just got married at the Astra. It was a great little ceremony up at Conservatory Garden, and then they jumped on a double decker bus to bring everyone to the reception, which I thought was a great idea. The reception was at the Astra. The forecast was calling for rain all week, so we were really excited when it turned out to be a gorgeous day. Here are a few of my favorite snaps from the evening.

Tara of EAP was the day of coordinator, and made everything run super smooth. Here she gives a quick hand with Sarah’s dress.
Mike and Sarah see each other for the first time in the hotel lobby.
We took a walk through central park before the ceremony.
We snapped some pictures on the same bench where Mike proposed to Sarah.
Then we headed over to Conservatory Garden for the ceremony.

Sarah and Mike took charge of the tour guide duties for a bit, and shared a bit of their history in the city with everyone.
After the ride we headed over to Astra.
Patricia and Matthew just got married at the Dumbo Arts Center. Another great little spot in Dumbo. Originally they hoped to have a quick ceremony on the waterfront before throwing a big celebratory party. But due to the rain, they ended up having the ceremony at the DAC as well. I met up with them at the DAC.

It was a quick ceremony. They decorated the space with hundreds of folded cranes, which I thought was a cool touch… And while they weren’t initially planning to have the ceremony in front of them, it worked out really well.
There was an awesome spread.. The catering was by Susie Chester. I especially liked the presentation and the bread she made.

Matthew is a photographer, and he set up a photobooth for guests to snap pictures of themselves.
