I’m just wrapping up my edits for Laura and Steve’s wedding (at 2:30am….) before heading upstate for the rest of the week. These guys were such a sweet couple. We went for a pancake breakfast at Bubby’s a couple weeks before the wedding to run over the details, and that’s when I really started to picture their plans for the day and get super stoked for the wedding. Joao joined me on this one, and he rocked it as usual.
I met up with Laura while she was getting ready. That’s David Lyle Jones Munoz doing her hair and makeup. It was my first time working with David, and as you’ll see, he did a fantastic job.

Joao met up with Steve while he was getting ready. Here he takes a last minute run over his vows on the way over to Bubby’s .
They saw each other for the first time at Bubby’s.

Leading up to the ceremony. James Abel was on hand coordinating everything, and did a great job.

Steve right before the ceremony.
And Laura right before the ceremony.

Laura and Steve had an awesome first dance. They were telling me beforehand how they had done all the practice in their apartment, and they were a little worried about pulling it off on the unfamiliar dance floor at Bubby’s. Well, they nailed it!

New York City Swing played the reception. They kept everyone moving, had a ton of personality, and were just generally fantastic.

Some impromptu limbo.
Taking full advantage of the photobooth at Bubby’s.
Considering it was at Bubby’s Pie Company, Laura and Steve had a wedding pie rather than a cake :)
