Bridgewaters
Bridgewaters is a great venue in downtown Manhattan at the South Street Seaport. I love shooting on the cobblestone streets around the area, and once you’re up in the space, there are some great views of Brooklyn over the East River, and the Brooklyn Bridge.
The space is definitely among the bigger ones that I’ve seen in New York. They have a capacity for up to 2,500 guests (wow!). But because of the way the space is broken up, you don’t have to have 2,500 people to make it work. The wedding I’ve shot there have been in the range of 200-300 guests, and I think one of the things that the space is really conducive to is having different parts of the day occur in different sections of the space. The space is run by a really professional crew, headed by Cheryl, who I’ve always had good experiences with.
Here are some shots to give a feel for the raw space.

There’s a cool tri-level thing going on in this room. I’ve seen it put to good use for a cocktail hour. That’s the bar in the right corner of the picture.

They’ve got a really sweet balcony.

A bit of the flavor of the street outside.

View out the window.
The space ready to rock for an evening wedding.

There’s plenty of room for dancing at Bridgewaters. This one is from Josh and EB’s wedding.

Josh and EB make their exit. This is right outside Bridgewaters in the South Street Seaport.

If you have any questions about the space, feel free to send me an email, or better yet, drop a note in the comments.
