Brad and Elizabeth at the Central Park Boathouse

Monday, September 20th, 2010

Brad and Elizabeth got married at St Bart’s on a Sunday afternoon and then headed over to the Central Park Boathouse for their reception. While I’ve definitely ended up shooting a lot in Central Park since I moved to New York 4 years ago, this was an exciting one, because it was my first time shooting at the Boathouse. Elizabeth is a graphic designer, and I think her taste came through in a lot of the details throughout the day. The best of which were the personalized M+Ms with portraits of them on it.

They had a gondola reserved for a couple hours, complete with a crooning gondoleer so everyone got to take turns heading out on the lake during the reception. I went into action mode and managed to destroy a pair of pants while jumping over a fence in search of a spot to shoot them from the shore (but cheers to Harold at the Boathouse for grabbing me some safety pins right away so I could make it through the last hour of the reception).

After that everyone headed over to the Perfect Pint for their after party.

Julie shot this one with me, and did a great job.
