JP Wedding Photography

I just got an email from Marcus of Marcus and Kristin. And I was really excited to see the video that he put together from his wedding at Queens Country Farm earlier this year.

He used a ton of pictures that I shot, mixed in with video. It always makes me happy to see a couple doing fun things with their pictures and getting the most out of them, and I love what he did with the music and the editing. For those of you looking to get a better idea of how I shoot, it’s also worth a look as you can really see how the day unfolded and a broader take of lots of pictures from the day.

I just found out that one of my pictures just placed in the Wedding Photojournalist Association awards. It was for a snap from Ravi and Laura’s wedding. I’m always stoked to get recognition from the WPJA, because they do such an amazing job of judging their contests. I’m always inspired when I see the contest results, and I love being a part of them! This last weekend I took some time off to go to Swine Stock. A giant pig roast upstate complete with a bonfire, fireworks, and a cover band that played every single song that was ever on the radio in the 90s.

I mostly left my cameras in my bag for the event, but my friend and co-conspirator Tanveer snapped some amazing pictures which are up on his blog here.

Yup, that’s me at the lead of the post, oohing and aaahing at the fireworks.
