WPJA award

Monday, September 28th, 2009

I just found out that one of my pictures just placed in the Wedding Photojournalist Association awards. It was for a snap from Ravi and Laura’s wedding. I’m always stoked to get recognition from the WPJA, because they do such an amazing job of judging their contests. I’m always inspired when I see the contest results, and I love being a part of them! There’s more from the contest at the WPJA website.

Swine Stock

Friday, July 24th, 2009

This last weekend I took some time off to go to Swine Stock. A giant pig roast upstate complete with a bonfire, fireworks, and a cover band that played every single song that was ever on the radio in the 90s.

I mostly left my cameras in my bag for the event, but my friend and co-conspirator Tanveer snapped some amazing pictures which are up on his blog here.

Yup, that’s me at the lead of the post, oohing and aaahing at the fireworks.

I was really excited to learn that this shot from James and Vivian’s wedding last year won an award in the most recent Wedding Photojournalists Association contest!
