Sam + Leah
Monday, March 9th, 2009I’m happy to be posting my first wedding of ’09! Sam and Leah had me prepared for a big party over at Stage 6, and it was a great way to get things rolling for this year.

I met Leah over at their place.

Sam and Leah see each other for the first time.

Sam puts his game face on for the rehearsal.

They brought in a crew of Norwegian friends and they were the ushers. As you can see, they took their jobs very seriously.
Final preparations.

The red carpet entrance at Stage 6.

Just before the ceremony.

Sam’s grandpa Peter officiated the ceremony. The ceremony and the things that Peter said were amazing, period… and the fact that it was Sam’s grandfather officiating really made it special.

As a part of the Scottish Knot tying tradition, Peter had them exchange their clans’ tartans during the ceremony. That’s Sam wearing the Johnston plaid, while Leah got the Maclean Tartan.

Rachel, one of the junior bridesmaids.

These cake toppers were awesome.

Willa, Leah’s sister giving a toast.

They took their guest book apart and put a page at each table. I thought that was a great way to give everyone a chance to sign something at their own pace.

Amazing job on the flowers. They were done by Flowers, Sticks and Stones. I can’t find their website… but there’s more about them here.
