Here are some of my favorite pictures from Sherri and David’s wedding. They got married recently at Bubby’s. It was my last wedding of the year (though I’ve got another one to blog coming up, stay tuned), and I knew it was going to be a good way to end the year up. Getting to know Sherri and David while we were making our game plan for the day was awesome, and I knew it was going to be a fun one.
Joao second shot on this one, and rocked it as usual.
I started the day with David at The Art of Shaving. I love the classic shave with a straight razor.

Then it was over to meet up with Sherri and the girls in the Dumbo apartment where they were getting ready.

They had a magnet message on the door for Sherri.

David arrived and saw her for the first time at the apartment.

We walked on over to Bubby’s.

They met each other in an art class, and incorporated various classic pieces of artwork into their place holders.

Guests took pictures at the photobooth and put together a scrapbook.

Here are some favorites from Erica and Collin’s wedding. Collin is Scott’s brother, of Scott and Sonya last year. They threw an amazing wedding, complete with their entire family rocking out (really, playing as a rock band) for their guests. I knew that they were going to play at Collin’s wedding as well, so I’ve been super excited for it.
Planning the photography for the wedding was a lot of fun. Erica and Collin have a really special aesthetic, and we bounced ideas back and forth leading up to the wedding for non-typical ways to cover the day. I love it when my wedding clients want to be involved this way!
So one of the ideas is that we would start at the hotel and shoot some pictures on a backdrop of the wedding party and family members.
Tanveer joined to help with the lighting and shooting, and did a killer job.

Then we headed right over to Webb Barn, where they were serving hot cider as the guests arrived.

Awesome signs in the barn.

Collin and Erica make their exit.

Erica and I had bounced some ideas back in forth in terms of shooting some special group pictures with a different aesthetic. She send me a bunch of pictures for inspiration, so these shots ended up being a total collaboration.

They had imprints of their fingerprints made on the wedding rings. And that’s a mix CD they had for all their guests.
And then it was time for the family band to rock out.
That’s Scott and Collin’s dad playing the orange guitar.

They had friends bring all the different cupcakes for desert.

I just shot Jurgen and Di’s wedding. They had a great, and truly unique wedding in Central Park. They traveled over to NYC from Australia, and decided to get married on their own. So the entire wedding was the two of them, Tulis officiating, and me snapping photos.
I met up with them at their hotel on Central Park South.
Despite the fact that it was pouring, they were really unflappable, and enjoying the day.
We went over to Bethesda fountain in Central Park to do the ceremony. I got to be the witness, which I thought was really cool. I handed a camera off to Jurgen so he could document me signing the license.

We found a dry spot for the ceremony.

Their were a couple performers also in the underpass, so their music served as background music during the ceremony. We also got a little audience.

Afterwards, we took a walk around the lake.

The sun came out for a bit.

And then we headed back to their hotel.
