Michael and Dorit’s wedding at Battery Gardens. These guys put together a wedding that was a real celebration. We started the day cruising around downtown and Chinatown, and then off to Battery Gardens for the ceremony. Dorit’s father officiated the ceremony, which added a really lovely intimate aspect. Afterwards their guests proves that know how to have a party. They finished things up in the afternoon with a Mister Softee truck outside serving ice cream to all the guests, and then we headed on over to the Ritz Carlton for a super rad after party.
Tom did a great job snapping pictures earlier in the day, and then manning the photobooth for the rest of the party.

Simon and Rachel were an awesome laid back Brooklyn couple. They brought a ton of personality into the wedding, and I had a great time working with them to pick out some spots for photos leading up to the wedding (who would have that that Ikea had so much potential as a location!)
I met up at their house where Simon and his friends were working out the finer points on the double-windsor.

Rachel was at a nearby hotel getting ready.

They had a sweet old school yellow taxi cab to get around in.

We took a spin down to Red Hook and the garden next to Ikea.

And then on up to the St. Paul’s in Carroll Gardens for the ceremony.

They did the reception at one of my favorite Brooklyn spots: Bubby’s. They had these cool wheatgrass centerpieces that Simon and Rachel made themselves.

Simon’s a beer brewer, and he made a special batch so that all the wedding guests could take one for the road. Awesome little hang tags for them too.

Priscilla and Teddy were originally planning on getting married at the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens. Their plans later changed, but they had already confirmed things to be at the gardens, so we got up bright and early and snapped some photos with them there.

And then the pre-party got started! They rocked some Yugoslavian music and drank some moonshine before the wedding.

Some great personalities to shoot.

Then it was of to the First Unitarian Congregational Society for the wedding.

We went to Frankie’s for the reception. I’ve run into these guys as caterers at other weddings, and they really rock it, especially with their gigantic meatballs.
It was awesome to shoot at the actual restaurant. It has a cool outdoor Brooklyn vibe to it.

Great flowers by Jenny from the The Orangerie.
